Pikkie Park offers two distinct programmes: our Educare for little ones aged 3 months to 6 years, and our popular Aftercare for school-going children from Grade R to Grade 7. Whether your child needs full-day care, after-school support, or holiday programmes, we’re here for your family, year-round.
Educare Programme
Ages: 3 months – 6 years
- Nurturing, experienced caregivers with 20+ years’ tenure
- Weekly themed activities during school term
- Age-appropriate developmental focus
- Home-cooked meals: breakfast, lunch, and tea-time snacks
- Bi-annual progress reports for parents
Aftercare Programme
Ages: Grade R – Grade 7 (6–13 years)
- Safe, supervised environment after school and during holidays
- Homework support and structured activity programmes
- Transport service available for school pick-ups

Pikkie Park Educare isn’t just a childcare centre, it’s a family tradition. For over 30 years, we’ve been caring for the children of Welgelegen, Plattekloof, Edgemead, and the broader Northern Suburbs. Bi-Annual Progress Reports
Parents receive detailed, bi-annual reports on their child’s developmental progress across all key areas, keeping you informed and involved in your child’s journey.
Home-Cooked Meals Daily
We provide nutritious, home-cooked meals throughout the day: breakfast, a hot lunch, and healthy snacks at tea time (10:30am and 3pm). Parents can rest easy knowing their children are well-fed.
Long-Serving Staff
Our team isn’t just experienced, they’re devoted. Many of our teachers and caregivers have been with Pikkie Park for 20 to 30 years, bringing stability, wisdom, and genuine care to every child.
Aftercare Transport
For our aftercare families, we offer a reliable transport service to collect children from local schools, giving working parents peace of mind and logistical support.

Open During School Holidays
Pikkie Park operates year-round. During school holidays, we run structured, fun-filled programmes with outings and activities for all age groups, only closing over Christmas and New Year.
